Children’s Ministry
What to expect for your children at our Sunday service:
Our ministry to children and youth at Christ Central Buffalo aims to partner with parents in building a foundation of faith for the next generation. We provide age-appropriate discipleship for our covenant children through Arrows Ministry, Plants + Pillars, and Olive Shoots.
Every first Sunday of the month, we join together for All-Church Sunday. On those Sundays, we do not offer Arrows Ministry or Plants and Pillars, but will have Olive Shoots. We invite families with children in Arrows Ministry and Plants and Pillars to worship together in our main service.
For children ages 7+:
For your 7+ children, they are invited to join the main service with you from the beginning, and will be dismissed to Arrows Ministry before the sermon begins. They can be picked up after the service ends.
FOR CHILDREN AGES 0 - 4:
During adult service hours these children are welcome in the sanctuary or in our Olive Shoots Ministry.
Right after the adult service children ages 2 - Kindergarten can join Plants and Pillars for a 30 minute program in the Plants and Pillars classroom across from the Fellowship Room.
Arrows Ministry:
Arrows Ministry is our Children and Youth Ministry at Christ Central Buffalo for those ages 7 and up. Our vision is to help the next generation make Christ central in their lives. For we know that nothing is more important for our children than knowing God, and understanding the hope that is found in the amazing gospel story of Jesus Christ.
Please join us on this exciting Christian journey where our children can learn about Jesus, grow in faith, and make new friends along the way.
Plants and Pillars:
Plants and Pillars is a joyful and engaging program created especially for children ages 2 through kindergarten. Right after the adult service, we gather together to explore the Gospel story of Jesus Christ in ways that are fun, meaningful, and age-appropriate. Through Bible story reading, singing, dancing, coloring, and learning the kids' catechism, children are invited to grow in their understanding of God's love in a nurturing and lively environment.
We would be absolutely delighted to welcome your little ones into this special time of learning and celebration. It’s a wonderful opportunity for them to build friendships, ask questions, and experience the joy of the Gospel in a way that speaks to their hearts.
Olive Shoots:
Olive Shoots provides a supervised space for infants and toddlers (newborn to 48 months) during the worship service, so that parents may find needed relief and be better able to focus during the sermon, prayer, and testimonies.
Olive Shoots is located across from the fellowship hall and opens 10 minutes before service begins at 10:20 AM and closes immediately after service concludes at approximately 11:45 AM.
